“Improvisation for the Model, Actor, Singer, Dancer, Entertainer”
The objectives of this class are to discover the fundamentals of improvisation, improve your ability to tell your story, learn techniques to think quickly on your feet and to be more creative. We focus on applying these concepts to practice and mastering these improvisation tools in leadership learning. This spirited, fun workshop is designed for anyone who wants to tap their passion, improve their performance skills, trust their instincts and come across as dynamic in an audition or interview! Through coaching, warm-up exercises, and creative performance games, participants will take away techniques that will allow them to be more spontaneous, how to listen better, and to be a entertaining force like no other!
Robert Galinsky is Co-Creator of the Manhattan Monologue Slam & creator of the New York Reality TV School. His work in the entertainment industry has been featured on: The VIEW, ABC Nightline News, The Today Show, E! Entertainment News, BBC, TV Guide Channel, and media outlets worldwide. He is a volunteer at the IMPACT Repertory Theatre in Harlem and a founding member of the 3 Dot Dash International Peace Initiative. Galinsky has been nominated for a Gold World Award at the New York International Film Festival & Back Stage has called his acting “extraordinary & effortless” while High Times Magazine says Galinsky is “manic, deadpan & takes aim with psychotic precision.” He has appeared on stage throughout New York. Galinsky freelances as a producer and director with the National Geographic Channel, Time Out Magazine, and The Ford Foundation among others. Member of SAG, Directors Guild & Dramatist Guild.
